With The Event just happened in Dallas, Texas where the pound-for-pound champion Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao became victorious once again in front of 51,000 boxing fans what's next for us to wait? Obviously the Mayweather-Mosley fight!

The undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. (40W-0L-25KOs) will face Shane Mosley (46W-5L-39KOs) in a welterweight bout that will surely make an impact to the boxing business. This time the spotlight will be back in Las Vegas, coming from Dallas. There is a chance that Pacquiao will be fighting the winner of the Mayweather-Mosley fight; however, seems like the Pacman would want Mayweather more than anybody else. Well, there are a lot of hopefuls.

Mayweather was bored by Pacquiao's last fight?

I believe that the pound-for-pound king and WBO welterweight champion, Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao put on a good fight against Joshua Clottey during their recent fight where the Filipino pride won via a one-sided unanimous decision; the thing that made the event looks like a not-a-pacquiao type of fight is that there was no knock-down. Seriously, a lot of people had predicted and expected that Clottey would hit the ground; it never happen. Because of this, a lot of critics are claiming that the Pacman had upset a lot of boxing fans.

Upset?

Oh c'mon! The victory itself is sweet and Pacquiao is phenomenal. Even team Clottey, I think, was not upset about the outcome of the fight; it was a privilege to fight the best boxer in the world today.

There is one thing that, I think, was upset not just for the victory of Pacquiao but even with the success of The Event held in Dallas, it's Floyd Mayweather Jr. The ever boastful Floyd had talked again saying that the effect of HGH to Pacquiao is just great; Mayweather also claimed that Manny put on a boring fight. Well, I remember Mayweather Jr., days back, saying something about focusing (talking) on his next fight with Shane Mosley instead of talking about Pacquiao; he just can't stop thinking about the Pacman. He's haunted.

Well, Mayweather should do his best to win against Mosley if he wants another shot to face Pacquiao in a multi-million mega-fight. Good luck to his next bout.

Erik "El Terrible" Morales wants to be champion again

After months of speculation and uncertainty if he will be fighting again, Erik "El Terrible" Morales from Tijuana had just confirmed that he would be back to fight again; ready to be world champion one more time. The question that's kept hanging is on what weight would he be fighting in.

There are talks that he will be entering the hot and exciting welterweight division where the names of Manny Pacquiao, Shane Mosley, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Miguel Cotto and Joshua Clottey are making some loud buzz. If some may not know, Morales was the last boxer to defeat the pound-for-pound champion Pacquiao during their first meeting of their trilogy match.

After a long rest, I've been thinking if Erik still got his power and speed; especially that he had lost his last four fights: unanimous decision against Zahir Raheem and David Diaz, a KO and a TKO from Pacquiao. Though he had claimed that he had been in the gym almost everytime, getting shape-up, the latest photo that I've seen is that he's somewhat overweight. Morales will be sporting a 48W(34KO)-6L-0D record.

Mosley for Mayweather?

So after years of waiting it's going to happen this year, Floyd Mayweather versus Shane Mosley. Or is it?

The Mayweather-Mosley fight had been on deck for a very long time that most boxing fans had almost believe that it will never happen, especially when Floyd had been saying that Mosley is not good enough for him. If the fight would really get ironed out then it would likely take place on May in Las Vegas, no official announcement yet. The only thing that I could be sure of is that there is no Top Rank-Golden Boy showdown.

For me, this would be a good and interesting matchup since the two great boxers had been throwing trash talks to each other till now. Mosley had been wanting to fight Mayweather. He is going to get it, hopefully.

Well, if the camp of Mayweather will not be throwing their terms again about that random blood testing prior to fight then the bout will happen. Definitely.

There are talks around that Manny Pacquiao had said 'NO' to the random blood testing even though he's clean then how would Mosley react? 'NO! NO! NO!' (There was a claim that he'd been into 'it' before.)

I would say that Mayweather is doing a good thing in finding himself accepting Mosley as his opponent after the $40M fight with the Pacman went off. It would be better if it would really happen.

Pacquiao-Mayweather: Update

After nine hours of mediation with retired federal judge Daniel Weinstein, the proposed March 13 super fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao is no closer to fruition. Among those on hand at Tuesday’s meeting in Santa Monica were Bob Arum and Todd duBoef of Top Rank, Oscar De La Hoya and Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy and Mayweather’s manager Al Haymon. Weinstein has placed a gag order on the proceedings, so neither camp is talking although negotiations are said to be ongoing.

140 is Too Early For Pacquiao

He came, he fought, he will conquer!

The victory of Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao over David Diaz for the WBC Lightweight crown had rocked and shocked the world. There goes the pound-for-pound king!

Will the Pacman go up to 140 and face Ricky "Hitman" Hatton or will he stay on 135 and face the bests in the lightweight division?

Bob Arum claimed that Manny Pacquiao will defend his new WBC Lightweight belt this year and will eye a possible Hatton fight next year. Well, how good would that be?

I think Pacquiao is not yet completely ready enough to move up weights, not yet. There are also a lot of great boxers in the lightweight division that he can face and beat! Pacman is already the best pound-for-pound fighter in the boxing world; he must prove that he could reign in the 135 division before taking a step up. The great body-puncher Hatton will be there and he might wait. The display of superb fighting against Diaz had surely gain some attention in the current division he is in; maybe some of the fighters in 130 will move up also to chase and face him. In the 135 class, there is Joan Guzman, Joel Casamayor and the "Galaxy Warrior" Nate Campbell whom Pacquiao can face and have a good and exciting fight. The knockout artist Edwin Valero from 130 might also go up just for the Pacman. Anything will go for Manny; he is a great boxer, a fighter, a warrior! Anything will happen but I think it's too early for him to enter the 140 division. Savor the victorious moment first Manny, you've done it and I believe you can do it again.

De La Hoya changes fight date!

Boxing superstar Oscar De La Hoya has changed his September 20 fight date and will instead fight on the 6th of December against an opponent to be named. The venue of the match will either be in Las Vegas or Los Angeles. Oscar's opponent supposed to be is Floyd Mayweather in a reprise of the most lucrative bout in boxing history, but Mayweather scuttled those plans by abruptly retiring.
