In a clash of former world champions known for their left hooks,
Roy “Captain Hook” Jones, Jr. (54-5, 40 KOs) schooled
Jeff “Left Hook” Lacy (25-3, 17 KOs) on Saturday night at the MS Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi. An extremely sharp Jones methodically battered Lacy, becoming more dominant as the bout progressed. Over the last few rounds Jones landed at will. Lacy’s corner stopped the fight after round ten. The bout was delayed approximately 30 minutes when the Jones and Lacy camps had a disagreement about the gloves.
