In a junior middleweight clash between former world champions, Shane Mosley (45-5, 38 KOs) scored an entertaining twelfth round KO over Ricardo Mayorga (28-7-1, 22 KOs) on Saturday night at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California. Mayorga was more effective early, but Shane began to figure him out in round three. Round six was a big round for Mosley as Mayorga invited him to take a number of shots and Mosley obliged. The second half of the fight was more of an ugly brawl, but in the twelfth, Mosley exploded, flooring Mayorga twice to impressively end it. Time was 2:59. After the 11th round, the judges at ringside at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., had the fight scored 105-104 Mayorga (Pat Russell), 105-104 Mosley (Nelson Vasquez) and 107-102 Mosley (Tony Crebs).
